We are looking for a Japanese-speaking Fare Filing Analyst to support our operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for filing and distributing airline fares on behalf of customers, including airlines and travel agencies. Since the position involves working with our Japanese clients, you will also translate documents and fare contracts for the team. Regularly attending calls with clients to act as an interpreter will be required.

Additionally, you will handle problems of moderate complexity, requiring analysis of various factors and the use of judgment within established procedures and practices to determine the appropriate course of action.

To succeed in this role, you should be a skilled and thorough researcher with excellent communication and record-keeping abilities. Being detail-oriented, organized, self-motivated, and a good problem solver is also essential for success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • You will file and distribute airline fares using the Fare Filing System (ATPCO, Amadeus FareXpert, Travelport APF, SabreMyFares)
  • You will translate documents from Japanese to English and interpret them during calls.
  • You will keep productivity benchmark and accuracy as per the team’s minimum standard.
  • You will carefully follow instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform assigned tasks.
  • You will ensure that all work is processed according to the team’s minimum standard with 100% accuracy.
  • You will report any issues or system limitations to the direct supervisor.

Qualifications

  • Preferably a Bachelor's degree from a reputable university
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken Japanese (minimum certified N2)
  • Must have at least 1-2 years work experience at a Japanese company or in Japan
  • Good communication skills in written and spoken English (minimum CEFR B1)
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Must be willing to work on public holidays especially on religious public holidays (if requested)
  • Must be able to work under the guidance of team leaders and alongside other team members to ensure that organizational goals are met
  • Nice to have: working experience in airline or travel industry
  • Nice to have basic GDS knowledge
